Yesterday, I saw a lady holding and playing with a little black puppy. I asked what kind of dog it was. She said, "a Black Lab." It brought tears to my eyes, because it reminded me of my own Black Lab that passed away 4 years ago. My beloved was 9 years old at the time. She was perfectly healthy, then suddenly she had multiple organ failure and passed away within two days (we had to put her down). I cried so much for her.
To this day I can't help tearing up every time I am reminded of her, even though I know she never left me. She is always around, I see her and feel her kisses on my face. When I teared up at the sight of the puppy yesterday, she was immediately there, kissing me.
Pets are such a huge part of our life, part of our family.
They are forever loving.
Even in death.
