Counting our blessings

As we near the end of another year, let us count our blessings. What do we have to be thankful for? Make a list and say thank you for each one.

Living in the moment

We must cherish every moment we have, not worry about the future or dwell on the past. We have only the moment.

Our lives would be far more richer if we learn and practice this simple truth. We have only this moment.

A Simple Cleansing Ritual

Here is a recipe for a simple cleansing ritual:
Water, sea salt, burning sage or lavender.

These ingredients represent the 4 elements: water, earth, fire and air (the smoke of incense).

Simply add some sea salt to a bucket of water and mop your floors then burn some incense through out your home.

It will be nicely cleansed and purified.

Clearing the aura

To clear some one's aura, follow these steps:

Have them sit on a chair.
Stand next to them.
Flick you hands.
Start from the top of their ahead about a foot above their crown. Put your hands in that area and feel.
Can you feel their energy in the aura?
Does it feel clean?
Or does it feel like cobwebs? Sticky and clingy?
Slide your hands from above their crown all the way around and down.
Continue to feel the quality of the energy. You are not touching them; only feeling the energy field around them.
Whenever you come across cobwebs in the energy field, grab them with your hands and flick them away.
Continue to do this until you feel no more cobwebs.
Once you have cleaned their aura, they will feel refreshed and better.
Remember to flick off your hands to get rid of any residue you might have on them.

Can you feel the energy?

Humans are electrical beings, just as much as the eel that swims in the ocean. Here is an exercise to feel the energy in your hands. First flick your hands as if you are flicking off water, that's to clear them. Slowly, bring your hands together by holding them face to face and decreasing the distance between them. Close your eyes to enhance the sensation in your hands - palms to be more precise. You will feel a slight buzz; it will get stronger as you bring your hands closer to each other.

This is your energy that you are feeling.

If you are sensitive, you will feel a lot of energy - even other people's energy.

By using your hands you can clean another person's aura.

I will explain that in the next session.

Meet your power animal

If you find that you have a few extra minutes on your hands and you would like to do something mystical, try this.

Have a rendezvous with your power animal.

How you might ask?

Go to a meditative state and ask your power animal to present itself. And then wait to see who shows up.

When I did this exercise, I was convinced that a wolf would come out of the forest to meet me. Was I ever surprised to see a beautiful female elephant decked out in jewels instead. I always loved wolves and I was pretty sure that the wolf was my power animal, but apparently it is a bejeweled female elephant.

Maybe it is no coincidence that we both love jewels and gems. We are connected at the soul level.

Be mindful of...

Here are some tips to stay on the right track:

* Be mindful of the company you keep. Do not associate with negative people. They will pull you down; worst case scenario, they can suck up all your energy as they could be energy vampires.

* Be mindful of the kind of music you listen to.

* Be mindful of the kind of movies you watch.

* Be mindful of the kind of books you read.

* Be mindful of the kind of thoughts you think.

All these things done the wrong way will pull you down, make you miserable or down right depressed.

Choose wisely.

Vitamin D and imaginary vacations

Now that Christmas is behind us and we have to face a mountain of credit card debt, grey skies and almost no sunshine, remember to take your Vitamin D. It will help you get through the cold winter months.

Also remember that closing your eyes and having an imaginary vacation in a sunny spot is just as beneficial as the real deal.

The hypothalamus (the part of the brain that registers experiences) does not know the difference between imagined and real.

When athletes meditate and imagine themselves doing their exercises, it works as well as doing them physically.

Open your hearts

While you are opening your Christmas presents, also open your hearts.
